Lost in the ingenuity of art, I ponder over the brevity of thought
Caught in the complexity of plot, I initiate the flow from my heart
Nurturing the flow from my heart, I become clueless about the faults in my art.
Clueless, meaningless, senseless, I become restless.
Lost in the insanity of art, I laugh at the vagaries in my thought.
Caught in the propensity for my art, I strive for coherence in my thought.
Jotting down my thought and hitting the right chord, I feel proud for giving it a tough shot.
Moving with the thought, I entertain the verbosity in my plot.
Lost in the verbosity for my plot, I concentrate on the reader's choice
Caught in the reader's choice, I make my choice.

Sampath Weds Shradha
It was a beautiful morning with the chirping of birds in the bright sunshine, 11th October 2001, the first anniversary of Sampath and Shradha. Enjoying the bliss of a happy married life and at the same time leading a life of contentment, Sampath believes that he is the happiest person on this earth. In a way, Sampath has the most beautiful wife to stand by him in the sorrows and joys of his most beautiful life. It is one year since they have been married, and when asked about his love life, he turns into a poet.
When I was six, I saw a beautiful miss.
Smitten by nature's bliss, she moved towards a wondersome mist.
Filled with a sincere wish, I moved forward without any hiss.
Nearing the mist and sensing a horrendous twist, I preempted her from a deceptive mist.
When I was eight, I again saw her at a beautiful bay.
Running towards the waves, I heard her gleeful say "Wanna play"?
Enjoying the game and sharing her gay, I wanted to say "--",
but I was too young to say what I real wanted to say.
When I was ten, I saw her with Ben.
Disappointed and depressed, I turned to my den.
Walking towards my den, I cursed Ben for being her friend.
Ten past ten, I heard a ding dong bell, it was Ben.
Just then I heard a voice say “he is Ben, my brother, who is just ten”.
It was then we were friends.
Six years and I knew her in and out.
When I was sixteen, I entertained the thought of flirting.
In the name of flirting, I was curious to know her feelings.
I was eighteen and I knew she was a real girl and she would never let the “word” slip.
I wanted to put an end to this tale.
I was twenty and I wanted to go on dieting to look more appealing.
Just then, she made my day by saying “you look better this way to stand beside me in a marital bliss”.

Life is not just
Moving at life's speed we forget what we really need.
Aspiring to be the best we forget the rest.
Goals and priorities embedded in our chest,
we develop an unending quest,
Quest that we really do not need, and quest that we really do not seek.
Moving with the quest and not wanting to be just,
we try to compete with the rest.
Failing to get a hint and not understanding the gist,
we land up slogging in the twist.
Living in illusions and not knowing the delusions,
we fail to make a resolution.
After all life is a big convolution.
Life is what you need and is not what others want you to be. Try to enjoy the subtleties of life, leaving the complexities aside..
This is not meant to be a poem
Aspiring to be the best we forget the rest.

Memories
Born on a day when happiness held its say,
Born on a day when darkness lay at bay,
Born on a day when eagerness made its way.
Born on a day when I was just a day.
Born on a day when everyone wanted to say,
I made their day.
Born on a day when I tried to say,
I am just too young to say 'Hey'.
Born on a day that would never say
I would wait for the moments to stay.
Day was away, and it was the time that was pulling me away
Time raced away, and I was big enough to say,
Mama, I think I can go out and play.
Time raced away, and I was growing big
each day only for the memories to say,
I was once a part of your day.
Happiness, sadness, all become a part of our stay. But the only thing that keeps me awake is the memories that I have till I hear the say 'I am here to take you away'.
Born on a day when darkness lay at bay,
Born on a day when eagerness made its way.
Born on a day when I was just a day.
Born on a day when everyone wanted to say,
I made their day.
Born on a day when I tried to say,

Philosophy simplified
I know that you know and you know that I too know, and we both know that things are known to both and we also know that we know more than what others know.
What others think we do not think, but we think better than many others, and others do not know what we know, and we think that others should not know what we think and we should always think that we should think.
This is philosophy.
Philosophy tells about what we do not know and what cannot be understood.
This is the beauty of philosophy.
What others think we do not think, but we think better than many others, and others do not know what we know, and we think that others should not know what we think and we should always think that we should think.

Express
Realistic it was,
though superficial it appeared
Caring I was,
though arrogant I appeared
Thoughtful I was,
though crazy I appeared
Straightforward I was,
though hyprocrite I appeared
Possessive I was,
and unknowing she was
Artful I appeared,
though sincere I was
Hazy my expressions were,
though clear my thoughts were.
'Implicit' I meant,
but 'explicit' she asked for.
Proposal it was,
denial I met with.
though superficial it appeared
Caring I was,
though arrogant I appeared
Thoughtful I was,
though crazy I appeared
Straightforward I was,

Love at first sight
Heard this phrase innumerable times, but never did I experience.
Four words, countless emotions, there I stood to experience the experience of a lifetime.
I wondered, I pondered, but I surrendered.
Beauty at its peak, simplicity at its best; though lasted for a moment, they made me think beyond beauty.
Beautiful she was in a pink dress, and happy my eyes were to get themselves pampered by the creator's thought.
It was all furtive glances, before my eyes entertained the thought of sneaking into her eyes.
Time and tide wait for no man.
Time passed and it was the glimpse that drove me crazy.
I followed the time and my eyes followed the beauty.
I waited till the time arrived for my thoughts to speak.
It was the time to eulogize the beauty, it was the time to get closer to the beauty, and it was the real time for the thoughts to speak.
Thoughts spoke and the answer did come.
It was then a thought into a relationship.

Blogging, elusive when you lose touch!!!
Hew, blogging, the art of writing, thinking, penning your thoughts, all seem to be synonymous, but the word that has driven me crazy is the first one. Though all seem to be the same, blogging occupies a unique position of keeping me active with thoughts galore flowing in and out of my little brain. Hitherto, I might be having a minature amount of 42 blogs to my credit, but someday I would love to reach the elusive three digit number. I almost think everyday on different topics which I think are feasible enough to put my thoughts in. Each day a new topic, but somewhere down the line I get stuck. Sometimes, it is like I struggle to get the right topic and sometimes it is the start that I fail to get. Each day begins with a fresh thought on how to approach a blog on poetry or prose. But it is months since the thoughts have translated into blogs. Each day my obsession towards this passion is increasing, but in vain. It has been 3 months without a blog and I wanted to get a start on some topic or the other. I tried many poetry and prose topics, and my drafts list has crossed 90. Whenever I dont get any thoughts, especially these days, I try to imrovise on the topics which I have written in drafts. But I failed in the very attempt of improvising. I was so obsessive to get a start and keep myself active in blogging. The reasons are many, but there is not any excuse. I would love to keep my mind preoccupied with this passion. I hope the numbers would increase this year. I would like to thank all my blog readers, especially my sis and my cousin who would read each and every blog and post their comments.
Wishing you all a happy new year
Cheers!!!!

When tested? The mind of a depressed.
When tested in the crucible of time, I fail the test.
When tested in the race for survival, I struggle to compete.
When tested in the finesse of art, I lack the luster
When tested in the art of living, I find it hard to live.
When tested in the divinity of truth, I am a lie.
When tested in the coherence of thoughts, I am not in sync.
When tested in the intricacies of life, I lack the austerity.
When tested in the life's game, I play a spoilsport.
At last, when tested in the happiness of being, I am a depressed recluse.
When tested in the race for survival, I struggle to compete.
When tested in the finesse of art, I lack the luster
When tested in the art of living, I find it hard to live.

Just a crush
It was during the day
when I was basking in the Sun's glory
It was during the day
when I was astounded by the beauty of nature.
It was during the day
when my intuition triumphed over my thoughts
It was during the day
when my eyes could do nothing but stare at the best
It was during the day
when nature struggled to compete
It was during the day
when nature envied its own creators.
It was the day
that was giving way to the darkness.
It was then the night
when I had to think about the day
It was then the night
when it was all over, but then it was just a crush.
when I was basking in the Sun's glory
It was during the day
when I was astounded by the beauty of nature.

The art of saying "NO"
No, no, no, is that the way to say no. Maybe yes but not this time. Maybe yes maybe no. I don't know, but I think it is "NO". I don't want to hurt you, but I can't help..please. I don't know, but I don't care. I am sorry, but please excuse me. Say yes please, I can't hear "NO". Please forgive me- No way. Please accept my proposal. No chance man, I am not made for you. It is YES when the subtle happy feelings in your heart show up on your face to enlighten the souls around you. It is YES as long as you share same views with the listener. What if you encounter a situation wherein your acceptance matters the most and your denial hurts someone? What if your answer makes an indelible impression on a person's mind? What if the answer is made to be "NO", but the way to express it makes it all the more difficult? What if there is always some distress associated with your denial? Many of us don't know what we are, but the situations we encounter bring out what we are. It is always easy when things go our way, but it is always difficult to change things our way. It is always easy to express your happiness, but it is difficult to radiate the happiness. It is always easy to say YES, but it remains a mystery to say "NO". Somethings are best left unsaid.

It's YOU
I maintained my composure,
but you aroused the passsion in me.
I followed my path,
but you made me traverse your path.
I maintained my elegance,
but you made it sound preposterous.
I never encountered a fall,
but your persona made me all the more vulnerable.
I was always confident,
but you made me conscious.
I trusted my inner sense,
but your sixth sense triumphed over my inner sense.
Your sixth sense knows everything,
but you gave way to the real senses.
My eyes said it all,
and the result is inevitable.
It's YOU; you made me say this at last
Cheers!!!

A prostitute's life
There was a time when the world was created with two souls behind the creation. There was a time when curiousity culminated in all the problems. It was the time when Pandora's box was opened. Though a triumph over nature's laws, it presented a world denuded of peace. The problems galore that the box created multiplied and the world sounds a misnomer for a happy abode. In a world created by god, we happen to be a drop in the ocean ever on the look out for peace. Quite fortunate are some who stand to make a living out of what they received, but a few are destined to live a life that they would not have dreamt of.
Not many prefer that way, but for a few it is the spoilsport played by the destiny. Preening herself, Madhubala peeps out of the window looking for her friends to accompany her for her night's work. She starts her journey filling her mind with lascivious thoughts and teaching her eyes the furtive glances. Looking for lechers in the streets is her daily work, but soliciting people for the right bargain is a tough ask, as amorous relations salvage her spoilt stomach. After a hard night's work she awakes in the morning to see her dreams rent asunder in the backdrop of a lustful art. The sun sets and the moon peeps out making the girls solicit openly in the streets.
Everything is destined is a known fact, but what life has in store for them is nobody's concern. A life out of bed, and a life asking to prostitute their talents in the bed, not often do people take it this way as the loss of libido is not a frequently heard phrase. A prostitute longs for a Platonic relation, but she is known for illicit ways. She craves for true love, but succeeds in prostituting her talents in its making. She dreams about love, but lust inextricably linked with all her dreams. She knows it's a misdemeanour, she knows it's a felony. She wants to come out of this, but she has no one to salvage her wrecked existence. She wants to lead a life of a recluse, but she has a brand attached to her and in this lustful society only brand rules and so do men.

World on the move
Primafacie, everything is predestined, but to an extent everything is predictible. Imagination at its best, reverie behind a thought and a spark propelling an action, these seem to be the food for thought for the phantasmagorical world. Each day I wake up to the chirping of birds, indicating a new world in the making. I may not have dreamt of everthing, but the dream is already in practice in some part of the world. I fantasize about illusions, but only to see them changing into reality. I write captions about the illusory world, but the next moment I awaken to see them really existing. I stop writing for a few days, but my thoughts never allow me to do so. I start a new blog on the developments on earth, but people are already planning to develop the moon. I plan to move towards moon, but people have started exploring Mars. I plan to visualize something that had never existed, but people already propounded theories about the never existent till now. I want to create something new, but the new may not be new the next day. I see the phantasmagorical world, but the world sees me as an amateur new to this field still learning to accept the fact that it has a lot more to offer which no one would ever visualise.

Envious, maybe a tinge in everyone.
I hope that I will be the best,
but I land up somewhere in the rest.
I think of bringing it the best in me,
but I can only make other people impress.
I conjecture I have the blend of qualities,
but you prove I am just a drop in the ocean.
I want to enliven the spirits,
but you have already captured the imagination.
I want to excel in many ways,
but you stand up tall while I take the steps.
I want to excel you,
but I am left bereft with people longing for you.
I want to rule the world,
but the world dances to your tunes.
I want to envy you your prowess,
but I realize it's just a part of the game.
but I land up somewhere in the rest.
I think of bringing it the best in me,

There is an I in me
If I were I, there would not be me. I am not what I am. I am not what my heart wants me to be. I am not what my conscience dictates the way I ought to be. What happens if there is only I and not me. It's all about me is true, but it's all about I sounds more apt in this world where each and every domain is surrounded by advices from you. I want to be an engineer, but my dad wants me to be a doctor. I want to be a cricketer, but my dad says there's a lot of politics involved in cricket, and ultimately turns me into an engineer. Engineer is me, but cricketer is I. Cricket is my first love, but I had to settle with this profession. I gave way to the me in I, thanks to the advices. You may have reached the pinnacle or apex of success, but somewhere down the line you'll still have a longing for your first love in life. Passions die hard, and let them so. Not many get the opportunity to do what they want to, but when you really get it let your passions rule and not the advices which really do not know what you are. Opportunities won't come, grab them when they come. Advices are always there, but follow the right ones. It is always I and not me.

Religious but not empathetic
Not often do my thoughts provoke me into this kind of stuff that is quite thought provoking in the minds of people particular about pompous religious ceremonies. I really do not know if I am correct in putting down my thoughts about the way a particular belief should be. Being a religious person, I see some reason behind performing all these ceremonies for the well being of self. But being an empathetic person, I see some reason and pleasure in spending for the sake of the upliftment of race rather than sole. Now being both ways sounds quite ambiguous. I decided that I would rather be the latter after seeing the conditions of the bereaved or betrayed souls. There might be quite a number of reasons for a person to trust god. This trust develops into a belief when his desires get fulfilled, and this belief slowly translates into total obesiance without self-belief. This obeisance is accompanied with all the religious offerings which tranform the religious ceremony into a ceremony with pomp and glitter which even the gods above would envy. This slowly turns into a hobby by believing that an offering to god would fetch you everything that you crave for. The person starts to become more religious by not being empathetic. The same offering is not made to a trust which looks after the people who are left with nothing in life. The sole reason the person starts to think in this way is because of Obesiance without self-belief. It might be true that offerings to god could be translated into people's fund, but helping a person who is really in need brings more meaning to life rather than craving for pleasures which are predestined and not offering based. I would be an atheist by helping people rather than a theist who is self conceited. Do good and be good, that is what makes you superior to everyone.

The mischief of truth: A bit radical of course
Truth is light, always speak truth and it will never let you down, heard these great statements from great philosophers, but never tried to follow them all the time. Always truth has been associated with light and lie with darkness. Putting an end to bad deeds and following righteous path, is what we have been taught since the time of our birth. Honesty is the best policy, hope so, but being fraudulent does no harm sometimes. Many a time a human being is encountered with situations where only the result matters and not the reality. Each day, each moment, there is a lie prevailing in some corner of our mind to avoid awkward solutions to a real problem. This maybe because of the existent truth in a false statement, that avoids all conflicts in this world of conflicting thoughts. Every activity of ours revolves around underlying artificiality. Practise what you preach is heard but not practised. The moment we arrive at a point where we need to decide between truth and false, we try to associate each term with its after effects. The weightage of each term is then jotted down and the decision is made basing on the results that arise from it. Happy that the outcomes are fruitful, but not sad because the origin is a lie. The result matters as far as the progress is concerned, but not the reality. This might be the thinking of a radical person. Follow rules, go by them, this might be the thinking of a philosopher and a righteous person. Different people, different opinions, always there's place for everything in this world. Don't impose restrictions and rules, but allow people to follow their will.

The inner sense
Invention for a cause seems apt these days as it lures people to invent new things for a better living. Charismatic appeal, dusky look and an awesome figure is what each girl longs for in the process of growth into a full-fledged female. Not all of them are entitled for dusky look as it has a special place for itself in defining a typical attractive female. Since time immemorial this gender has occupied a special place in the hearts of the dominant male gender. The dominance seems to lose ground in the presence of a beautiful smile from a beautiful female. What makes them so charismatic, what makes them leave an indelible mark for days together in the hearts of Males, are the questions I ask myself. Is it the soft corner for this gender, or is it the attraction of their entire personality? This question made me think about the latter. What do these people have that attracts us so much. Not again, it's neither the attraction nor their typical personality. It is simply the inner sense which most of the males lack when it comes to the finer aspects. Maybe it sounds like attitude, maybe it sounds like confidence, but it is true. Personality speaks for itself when it is accompanied with the inner sense that rules your senses. Hide everything is the philosophy followed by females, reveal everything is the philosophy followed by males. So always look into the eyes. Eyes never hide anything. As a male chauvinist, my sincere advice to male gender is that they should try and develop this inner sense to achieve supremacy over this female gender.

Jack and Jill went up the hill
Deep inside, dark inside, amidst all the troubles, Jack and Jill plan to spend the rest of their life on an island isolated from the chaotic world. Jack and Jill, the couple known for their helping nature, the couple who were betrayed all the joys by their loved ones, and the couple who worked the whole day for the benefit of others, end up in debts with no savings to repay. Grief stricken, and hoping to leave this world, the couple move to the haunted island, where no one would be spared. Thinking that this would be the last journey of their life, the couple embrace each other for the last time in their life. Their journey starts with a black cat obstructing their way. The couple start unhesitatingly and confidently. Every part of their journey turns to be a nightmare, with ghastly experiences signifying their end. The couple finally reach the island surmounting all the obstacles. Ten past twelve, a huge lightning in the sky, a dark ghostly figure appears before them. Fearing nothing, and praying their deity once for all, the couple wish to sacrifice themselves. The ghostly figure slowly turns into an angelic appearance. Surprised by this the couple stare at each other. The ghostly figure turns into their diety. Not willing to accept this fact, the couple plead the deity to take them away from this chaotic world. Dumbstruck and moved by their act of sacrifice, the deity offers them all the wealth required for their happy existence and the repayment of thier debts. Surprised and happy the couple return to their home. God willing, a haunted place can turn into an angel's paradise. No one can change the fate. Everything is destined.
